Cross Roads Summer 2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cross Roads Board of Trustees made the difficult decision to suspend traditional summer camp programs for 2020. (Click here to read that full announcement.) Though we are disappointed to not host our typical summer programs, we look forward to connecting with you in new and exciting ways over the coming months—through programs and activities our staff have been hard at work developing over the past many months.

Cross Roads Camp Sunday
Sunday, July 12, 2020
Join Episcopal and Lutheran congregations around the state for a Cross Roads Camp Sunday on July 12! The camp staff will lead a full digital worship service, including a sermon from Executive Director Anthony Briggs. Congregations can use the entire service or just the sermon for their weekend worship services, or all are invited to join Cross Roads at 5 pm on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram to worship together to celebrate God and the camp community.
Cross Roads is offering a week-long virtual day camp program for youth (completed Kindergarten through 5th grades) from Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17. Counselors will gather with campers on Zoom from 10 am to 12 noon on each day. Those two hours will be packed with songs, games, arts & crafts, and Bible study. The theme for Day Camp at Home is “From Generation to Generation.” Each day, campers will learn new stories from the Bible, showing how God’s love endures from generation to generation. Cross Roads Leadership Lab is a week-long virtual leadership opportunity for high school age campers. Throughout this program, campers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in content relevant to their lives and address challenges that they face. This includes reflecting on their own story, identifying their strengths, understanding different conflict styles, learning leadership principles, and connecting their faith with experiences. While growing in these skills, campers will be a part of a fun, caring, and safe camp community. Click here to learn more.
Cross Roads is hosting a week-long virtual day camp program for middle school youth (completed grades 6 – 8) called “G2G.” Counselors will gather with campers on Zoom from 10 am to 12 noon on each day (M-F). This program focuses on the summer theme, “From Generation to Generation,” with a unique twist. Campers will hear a different Bible story every day, focusing on how God was present in people’s lives throughout the Bible. They will then look at modern stories of people overcoming adversity and living out God’s call to love. Campers will also focus on self reflection and sharing their own stories through different mediums of art, all while building community, having fun, and growing in faith! Click here to learn more.
The Cross Roads cabin facilities are open and available for families to rent this summer! Families are invited to come for an overnight or stay a week or more in God’s creation. Make memories while enjoying nature, playing outside together after much time indoors, and taking some time to disconnect and breathe fresh air again.
