Bold Transformational Faith
A partnership to bring faith formation tools and resources from CAMP to your CONGREGATION
Faith formation in our congregations will look wildly different this upcoming school year. That we know for sure. And though there are challenges that go along with doing new things, we are called to Go! Make Disciples!
Outdoor ministries Luther Crest Bible Camp (MN) and Cross Roads Camp and Retreat Center (NJ) have teamed up together to create a program that takes the tools that we learned from camp to your congregation. Our Bold Transformational Faith program will help your congregation retool for this season. We will equip and accompany congregations as they enhance their programming for children, youth, and families during this time of transition!
This past summer, we had to get creative to connect with campers despite not being able to gather in person. We learned a lot while carrying out our digital programming. We learned best practices for connecting with youth and adults in the digital age. We learned how to spend our time wisely, get creative, and be open to new ways of doing things. And most importantly, we learned that when it comes to sharing the Good News about Jesus Christ, people are eager to hear!
For this upcoming school year, Cross Roads is inviting congregations to join our Bold Transformational Faith (BTF) program. BTF is an opportunity for congregations to work with summer camp professionals to strengthen faith formation programs, develop new ways of engaging youth and young adults, and build up leaders.
More than a dozen congregations have already joined BTF and there is room for you, too!
Our four-week Advent program begins on Sunday, November 29 with a special “Campfires and Carols” virtual event. Then, Sunday School programming will resume on Sunday, January 10 with a NEW curriculum.
We are ready to provide you with three essential things:
- Faith Formation Programming
We are developing a weekly Sunday School curriculum for all ages, including videos and take-home
materials. Other program components could include prerecorded children’s messages for worship, facilitated virtual gatherings or activities for youth groups, and song leading.
- Leadership Training and Resources
Our trainings will include: discussions of the Sunday School curriculum and best practices for engagement and carrying out the programming; introductory trainings on virtual tools like Remind, Zoom, Facebook Live, & more; and sessions for congregational leaders on topics such as small-group process, conflict assessment, & youth well-being.
- Coaching and Accompaniment
We are committed to walking with you every step of the way as we embark on a new way to do faith formation.
Get in touch with Executive Director Anthony Briggs at firstname.lastname@example.org to start a conversation about how we can partner with you.
This isn’t a one size fits all program. We want to serve the needs of your congregation. Cross Roads will work with you to develop a plan that meets the needs of your congregation during this time and will accompany you as we put that plan into action.
