Family Camp

       July 24-29 2011

      Your home away from home. Family camp provides all the awesome perks of summer camp with the opportunity to relax, reflect and be renewed in the spirit. Go at your own pace with activities and enjoy the week while not needing to worry about food or dishes.

Lodging in the new Christ Center is available but limited so sign up early for that space.

Christ Center rate: $330 for adults, $165 for children 7-15 years old.

Oakwood and Evergreen rate: $220 for adults, $110 for children 7-15 years old.

Margie P. Fielder - Family Camp Speaker 2011

      Margie P. Fiedler serves the church as Associate Vice President of Marketing for the ELCA’s Mission Investment Fund, serving the six synods in Region 1, and Western ND.  Stewardship, youth, camping, hospitality, and global mission, are among her passions. Prior to working with the ELCA Mission Investment Fund, Margie served as Associate to the Bishop, EWA-ID
Synod for nine years, with her work focusing on estate gift planning. From 1977-1997 she served as Executive Director for Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, at Lutherhaven, ID, and Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, Ohio.  She also worked with the planning team for the ELCA National youth gathering for over 20 years. She continues to consult with camps and other non-
profits, in the area of financial development in her ‘free’ time!   Margie also loves to write, and has written Sunday school, Confirmation, and Outdoor ministries curriculum, for Augsburg Fortress.  Margie enjoys  hiking, skiing, canoeing, reading, traveling, baking, and being with her husband Al, son Jesse, 18, and daughter Mica, 11.  She begins each January 1st, at her home in Coeur d’ Alene, ID with the annual “Polar Bear Plunge” and her
favorite food is ice-cream… (she even takes dehydrated when she back-packs!)

During our Family Camp Bible Study for the adults, Margie will focus on the theme:  Jesus Chooses Us!  We will explore how we are called in our baptism, and chosen to follow Christ in our work, volunteer, and family life; as parents, partners and friends.  Join us for fun, discussion, and a lot of laughter!!
